Radio station sweats over massive rates bill

WEST Dublin Access Radio is facing 'hugely damaging' court action after receiving a registered letter from Dublin City Council on Thursday morning, September 10 telling management that they had six days to pay a rates bill of almost three thousand euro.
Staff at the Ballyfermot based station are furious with the council over the threat and claim that their first priority is to provide a community service, providing work for over 70 volunteers.
Marian Butler, who presents a show and works at the station, says WDAR runs on a shoestring budget .
